Assistant Controller

Location: Bronx, NY (or any Tri‑State regional office)
Compensation Range: $120,000–$170,000

Role Overview

The Assistant Controller will play a central role in safeguarding the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of the business. This position owns full P&L reporting, oversees balance sheet integrity, and serves as the main financial liaison for all regional and field operations.

Core Responsibilities

Lead preparation and ownership of monthly, quarterly, and annual P&L reports.
Maintain and reconcile the full balance sheet.
Act as financial primary point of contact for field offices and regional leadership.
Manage job‑level costing across installations, replacements, repairs, and maintenance agreements.
Oversee general ledger accuracy and reconciliation processes.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis activities.
Collaborate closely with operations, customer service, project management, and sales teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.
5+ years of accounting experience within HVAC, construction, or other field‑service‑based industries.
Solid understanding of GAAP.
Proven experience owning both P&L and balance sheet functions.
Excellent communication and cross‑functional partnership skills.
