Role Overview

We are partnering with a manufacturing company that is bringing tax in-house for the first time. This Senior Tax Accountant will serve as the internal tax expert, leading all corporate tax compliance, planning, and provision activities while coordinating with external advisors. This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys building, owning, and improving processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the internal tax subject matter expert across federal, state, and local tax

  • Prepare and/or oversee C-Corp (M1) tax returns and related filings

  • Own quarterly and annual tax provision and compliance processes

  • Partner with Plant Moran and external advisors as the internal “quarterback”

  • Support leadership with tax planning, risk mitigation, and audit readiness

  • Identify and implement process improvements as tax is brought in-house

  • Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure accurate data flow

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of tax accounting experience (manufacturing or industrial strongly preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations

  • Experience with C-Corp tax compliance and provisions

  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and influence cross-functionally

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred

  • CPA (or in progress)

  • 7+ years of tax experience in manufacturing/industrial environments

  • Advanced exposure to corporate tax provisions & compliance
