Executive Recruiter – Permanent Placement

Why CFS?

CFS is an employee-owned (ESOP) organization with a national platform and a strong local presence. We invest heavily in our people, reward performance, and build careers—not just production years. If you want to grow a book, grow your influence, and grow with a team that actually has your back, this is it.

The Opportunity

As CFS continues to scale its permanent placement division in Denver, we’re adding an Executive Recruiter to our team—someone who thrives in a full-desk environment, enjoys owning relationships end-to-end, and genuinely values being part of a high-performing, team-first culture.

This role is split roughly 50% business development and 50% recruiting, requiring someone who is equally comfortable building trusted client partnerships as they are advising senior-level candidates through critical career decisions. This is not a “resume pusher” role—it’s a consultative, relationship-driven position with real ownership and long-term upside.

Overview & Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Partnership (≈50%)

  • Build and grow a portfolio of client relationships within accounting & finance, serving as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional recruiter.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities through strategic outreach, referrals, networking, and internal collaboration.
  • Lead intake meetings with hiring managers and executives to deeply understand business needs, culture, and talent priorities.
  • Partner with leadership to develop market strategy, pricing, and positioning within targeted industries and functions.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships, focusing on repeat business and high-quality outcomes.

Recruiting & Talent Advisory (≈50%)

  • Source, assess, and recruit accounting and finance professionals across staff through executive-level roles.
  • Conduct in-depth candidate interviews focused on technical skills, leadership capability, and cultural alignment.
  • Coach candidates through the entire process—interview prep, offer negotiation, and onboarding—to ensure a high-touch experience.
  • Manage multiple searches simultaneously while maintaining quality, urgency, and transparency.
  • Serve as a career advisor, not just a recruiter—helping candidates make thoughtful, long-term decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in full-desk recruiting, ideally within accounting, finance, or professional services a plus.
    • Previous B2B sales or relationship-driven experience translates extremely well into this opportunity.
  • Strong business development instincts and the confidence to pick up the phone and build relationships.
  • Consultative mindset with the ability to influence both clients and candidates.
  • Competitive, self-driven, and metrics-aware—but collaborative and team-oriented at the core.
  • Someone who takes pride in doing things the right way and representing the CFS brand well.
