Senior Analyst, Compliance and Costing

Location: New haven, CT
Schedule: Full-time
Target Compensation: 115k -130k


About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Analyst, Compliance and Costing to join a high-performing team focused on financial compliance and costing activities. As a Senior Analyst, Compliance and Costing, you will play a critical role in implementing costing principles, preparing complex rate calculations, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities of The Senior Analyst:

  • Develop and maintain costing models for internal and external charges, including fringe rates and service provider allocations.
  • Prepare complex rate calculations for submissions to external agencies and internal costing purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations such as Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and internal policies.
  • Conduct financial analysis, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Document internal control objectives, reviews, and results accurately.
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on compliance and costing practices.
  • Coordinate annual service provider registration and rate submission processes.
  • Lead special projects and contribute to strategic financial initiatives as a Senior Analyst, Compliance and Costing.

Preferred Qualifications of The Senior Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum of six years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial costing concepts, modeling, and analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and organized.
  • Proficiency with business software applications (spreadsheets, databases) and workflow tools.
  • Ability to manage confidential information and build strong relationships across teams.
  • Preferred: CPA certification and familiarity with federal sponsor policies (NIH, NSF, DOD).
