CFS is proud to be partnering with a rapidly growing custom manufacturing organization based in Westchester, to identify an experienced Accounting Manager. Our client is a well‑established industry leader known for high‑quality, design‑driven products and a strong commitment to elevating the customer experience.

The Accounting Manager will oversee and direct all accounting activities within the department, playing a key role in financial reporting, team leadership, and strategic decision‑making.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Leads the accounting team responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Oversees training initiatives for new hires and identifies development opportunities for existing staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manages and executes the monthly close process across four locations.
  • Establishes internal controls and guidelines for accounting operations and budget development.
  • Oversees business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgeting.
  • Ensures financial reports comply with GAAP and applicable reporting standards.
  • Manages tax planning throughout the fiscal year and files the annual corporate tax return.
  • Conducts audits to ensure state and federal compliance; coordinates with external auditors and prepares required documentation.
  • Presents financial recommendations to leadership regarding short- and long-term objectives and policies.
  • Provides analysis to support capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensures adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management capabilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax software, preferably QuickBooks Online.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • CPA certification preferred.
