Staff Accountant – Construction

Salary range: $60,000–$75,000 base, depending on experience

Support job costing and project accounting, including billing and cost tracking
Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
Support month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Partner with project managers to ensure accurate job cost reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance-related documentation
Use Excel to support reconciliations, reporting, and job cost analysis

2+ years of accounting experience in a construction, project-based, or operational accounting environment
Strong accounting fundamentals, including debits, credits, and reconciliations
Experience supporting job costing, billing, or project accounting
Intermediate Excel skills required, including formulas; pivot tables and V lookups preferred
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
Construction or project accounting experience preferred but not required
Degree preferred - will consider job experience in place of degree
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to take initiative
