About the Role

The Controller will lead all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls while partnering closely with leadership to support strategic decisions. This is a hands‑on, foundational role ideal for someone energized by rapid growth, change, and the opportunity to architect systems and processes from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting operations, including month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close.
Develop and improve internal controls, financial policies, and reporting frameworks.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow processes.
Lead the internalization of key financial processes and transition away from legacy systems.
Partner with executives on strategic financial decisions and business planning.
Support ESOP accounting and annual valuation processes.
Build, lead, and mentor an expanding finance team.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, project teams, and leadership.

Qualifications

7–12+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
Strong technical accounting background; CPA preferred but not required.
Experience leading or significantly influencing financial processes, controls, and reporting.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑growing, evolving environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with leadership and field teams.
Curiosity and willingness to learn the construction side of the business.
