Production Manager – Food Manufacturing
Onsite Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead 2nd shift food production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is hands-on and highly collaborative, focused on food safety, quality, efficiency, and team development while ensuring production targets are met and regulatory standards are upheld.

  • Compensation: $85,000-95,000

What You’ll Do as a Production Manager:

  • Lead and support daily 2nd shift food production operations to meet quality, safety, productivity, and delivery goals
  • Supervise, coach, and develop production teams including leads, operators, and line staff
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, USDA/FDA, and food safety standards
  • Develop and manage production schedules, labor planning, and line efficiencies
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, throughput, and process optimization
  • Maintain strong focus on sanitation, safety, and facility standards
  • Monitor KPIs including yield, downtime, labor utilization, and product quality
  • Collaborate with QA, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Planning teams to ensure smooth production flow
  • Support onboarding, training, and performance management of production employees

What We’re Looking for in a Production Manager:

  • 5+ years of production leadership experience in food or dairy manufacturing or food processing
  • 2+ years of direct people management experience
  • Strong knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Lean manufacturing / continuous improvement experience highly desired
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Food Science, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field)
