Our client is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Finance to lead financial strategy, reporting, and operational accounting for a well-established organization in Kern County. This is a high-impact leadership role for a hands-on professional who can partner with executive leadership while ensuring strong financial stewardship and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance functions including general ledger, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and internal controls
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning and business growth initiatives
• Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting and finance team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
• Progressive leadership experience in accounting and finance, including management of teams
• Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with senior leadership
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
