Project Administrator (AutoCAD Experience Required)

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Administrator with AutoCAD experience to support our Design and Sales teams in delivering high-quality system designs, estimates, and project documentation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and enjoys collaborating across departments to ensure projects are accurate, compliant, and on schedule.
About the Role
The Project Administrator will serve as a key liaison between Sales, Design, and Operations—supporting estimating efforts, maintaining drawings, coordinating documentation, and ensuring timely bid completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and coordination of project estimates and sales bids
- Create and modify drawings using AutoCAD
- Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and scope alignment
- Support design of security systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and intrusion systems
- Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, time allocation, mileage, and job costing data
- Coordinate with vendors and internal departments to gather pricing and product information
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, California Fire Code, and applicable regulatory standards
- Track project deadlines and support on-time bid completion
- Provide technical documentation support for system modifications and plan updates
- Maintain organized project files and records
Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or technical administration
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Working knowledge of security systems, low-voltage systems, or network infrastructure
