Accounting & Payroll Specialist – Kern County

We’re partnering with a well-established company in Kern County to hire an Accounting & Payroll Specialist to support day-to-day accounting functions and payroll processing. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats and being a key support to finance and operations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Process payroll accurately and on time (hourly and salaried employees)
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wage and hour regulations
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Handle payroll tax filings, deductions, and benefit contributions
• Partner with HR on employee setup, changes, and terminations
• Respond to payroll and accounting inquiries with professionalism

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in accounting and payroll
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
