Senior Accountant
Location: Stamford, CT - hybrid
Compensation: $80,000 - $115,000
CFS is partnering with a global financial services organization headquartered in Stamford, CT, to identify a highly skilled Senior Accountant. This company provides complex working‑capital and receivables‑based solutions across multiple regions worldwide and supports clients throughout North America, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.
Essential Job Functions
- Participate in all core accounting activities, including monthly close, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Assist with monthly management reporting, business planning, and forecasting.
- Lead financial and administrative processes, optimize efficiencies, enhance internal controls, and support implementation of new systems.
- Serve as the accounting system owner (Microsoft Business Central); drive automation of key processes.
- Support the upgrade of general ledger management reporting tools (Power BI).
- Assist with tax‑related requirements and documentation.
- Track, forecast, reconcile, and analyze cash to ensure proper liquidity.
- Provide support for treasury functions.
- Lead or assist with ad‑hoc projects as assigned by the CFO.
- Support HR‑related administrative functions.
- Participate in fund administration and compliance activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Expertise in problem analysis and strategic/functional problem resolution.
- Technical proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong experience in GL, AP, AR, payroll, and income tax.
- SEC experience a strong plus.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- CPA preferred.
- GL implementation experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- 3–5 years of hands‑on accounting and/or audit experience.
