Temporary Staff Accountant (Part-Time)
Location: Denver, CO 80202 Hybrid (2 days per week in-office)
Salary: $27-$30/hr


A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Temporary Staff Accountant to support the finance team during a transitional period as additional operations are being integrated.

This Temporary Staff Accountant will provide critical support by assisting with daily reconciliations, revenue consolidation, and Excel-based reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large data sets, enjoys cross-department collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Position Overview

The Temporary Staff Accountant will work approximately 20–30 hours per week, primarily onsite for the first 30 days to ensure hands-on training and integration with the team. After the initial onboarding period, there may be flexibility for a hybrid schedule based on workload and performance.

This is a temporary engagement expected to begin in early March and continue for the next couple of months depending on organizational needs.


Key Responsibilities

The Temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Performing daily revenue reconciliations across multiple revenue streams

  • Consolidating large data sets into structured Excel import templates

  • Reviewing reports for accuracy and performing reasonableness testing

  • Supporting multi-entity financial operations

  • Gathering supporting documentation from various internal departments

  • Ensuring reconciliation backup is properly organized and complete

  • Communicating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies

This Temporary Staff Accountant role is heavily Excel-driven and requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and patience when coordinating across departments.


Qualifications

Minimum requirements for the Temporary Staff Accountant include:

  • 1–2 years of accounting or data analysis experience

  • Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large data sets

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Comfort working in a multi-entity environment

This role does not require advanced technical accounting expertise; however, the Temporary Staff Accountant must have enough practical experience to step in with minimal training and quickly add value.
