Location: Denver, CO 80202 Hybrid (2 days per week in-office)
Salary: $27-$30/hr
A growing organization is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Temporary Staff Accountant to support the finance team during a transitional period as additional operations are being integrated.
This Temporary Staff Accountant will provide critical support by assisting with daily reconciliations, revenue consolidation, and Excel-based reporting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large data sets, enjoys cross-department collaboration, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
The Temporary Staff Accountant will work approximately 20–30 hours per week, primarily onsite for the first 30 days to ensure hands-on training and integration with the team. After the initial onboarding period, there may be flexibility for a hybrid schedule based on workload and performance.
This is a temporary engagement expected to begin in early March and continue for the next couple of months depending on organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
The Temporary Staff Accountant will be responsible for:

Performing daily revenue reconciliations across multiple revenue streams

Consolidating large data sets into structured Excel import templates

Reviewing reports for accuracy and performing reasonableness testing

Supporting multi-entity financial operations

Gathering supporting documentation from various internal departments

Ensuring reconciliation backup is properly organized and complete

Communicating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies
This Temporary Staff Accountant role is heavily Excel-driven and requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and patience when coordinating across departments.
Qualifications
Minimum requirements for the Temporary Staff Accountant include:

1–2 years of accounting or data analysis experience

Strong proficiency in Excel and comfort working with large data sets

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams

Comfort working in a multi-entity environment
This role does not require advanced technical accounting expertise; however, the Temporary Staff Accountant must have enough practical experience to step in with minimal training and quickly add value.
